Mutual teaching in context (MTC)
This programme cannot be taken separatly from a practical course or an IAT course and you have to obtain the level A2-B1 (A2 acquired) at the assessment test of the Cours de vacances to be able to attend it.
You can attend the programme over 3 or 6 weeks. After the morning classes, the student studies independently thanks to an ethnolinguistic method. This programme stipulates that a student who is confronted with the real use of the French language in its context is going to develop his or her sensitivity to the behaviour details and the expressions he or she will encounter. In a constant two-way process between participation and observation, the student learns to develop skills and linguistic uses in order to be able to act more and more accurately in a French speaking environment. In practice, the student collects linguistic and cultural materials thanks to photographs and conversations recordings, then he or she compiles them together (transcribing, writing, etc.) in autonomy. Thanks to the exchanges with the teacher, he or she deepens his or her linguistic and cultural knowledge, reflects on the origin of his or her mistakes and corrects them.
For students who want to enter to Lausanne University, the Certificate of Qualification in French (CQF) allows you to be exempted of the French examination if you obtain the level B1-B2.You will find more information about the admission to Lausanne University here.
